The ExtraCare Charitable Trust operates retirement villages and smaller housing developments around the Midlands and further south. Their vision is better lives for older people and they aim to create sustainable communities that provide homes older people want, lifestyles they can enjoy and care if it's needed. We were approached to create 3 filmed case studies. Each focusing on a couple moving into the newly opened Longbridge Village and designed to showcase the decisions that led each couple to make the move; why they wanted or needed to move, the benefits it offered them related to their current circumstances, their aspirations for the future and their backstory in terms of; health, work, family and location.
We created a uniformed style with each film based around a central interview within the couple’s current home. Throughout the interviews we explored each of ExtraCare’s core messages about Home, Lifestyle and Care and included a selection of filmed cutaways to reinforce some of the narrative. The films were used at the official opening of the village as well as on the organisation’s Facebook page and YouTube channel to help promote the opening of the Longbridge Village
